Purple Pier

Another view of the pier looking west. In Eastbourne the East West divide happens pretty much at the Pier. I found out recently that this divide that seems present in most urban conurbations has it's roots in factories and mills being built in the east of the towns. Noxious gasses and smoke would then blow away from the dwellings of the factory owners and their families. Does that sound about right? SOLD
